Uroflowmetry
A simple, non-invasive test that measures the rate and pattern of urine flow.
Helps detect obstruction, weak bladder muscle and early urinary tract dysfunction.
Urodynamic Study
- Post-Void Residual (PVR) Measurement – Checks the amount of urine left in the bladder after urination.
- Cystometry (CMG) – Evaluates bladder pressure, capacity and sensations during filling.
- Pressure-Flow Study – Assesses bladder pressure during urination to detect obstruction.
- Urethral Pressure Profilometry (UPP) – Measures urethral closure pressure and sphincter function.
- Electromyography (EMG) – Records electrical activity of pelvic floor muscles.
- Video Urodynamics – Combines imaging with pressure studies for detailed bladder and urethral evaluation.
- Leak Point Pressure Test – Determines the pressure at which urine leakage occurs.
- Ambulatory Urodynamics – Monitors bladder activity during normal daily activities for more realistic results.
Cystoscopy
A minimally invasive procedure using a thin scope to directly view the urethra and bladder. Essential for diagnosing strictures, stones, tumors and persistent urinary symptoms.
Ureteroscopy
An endoscopic procedure that allows direct visualization of the ureters and kidneys. Useful for diagnosing and treating stones, strictures and upper urinary tract abnormalities.
